Born in North Carolina, USA, Elena Osuna graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1996. She has been a lecturer in printmaking, drawing and web design and has also worked as a freelance graphic designer. In her last solo, MÄRCHEN showcased a series of realist works on paper exploring existential fears. Very meticulous drawings convey the tenderness and innocence of sleeping children, while colorful scenes intimate what the children might be dreaming about. The artwork invites the viewer to reflect on how we help our children and ourselves cope with these challenging issues. Elena’s works are in many private collections and have exhibited in various cities around the world. She currently lives in Berlin.
